Dr. Angela Vergara

Angela Vergara is a Lecturer in the Department of Sociology at the University of Central Florida. Her areas of expertise include medical sociology, social inequalities, and reproductive health. Her research involves topics in race and ethnicity, gender and sexuality, minority populations, and communities. Her current research focuses on gender, immigration status, culture and language, reproduction and sexuality, and community research in the Hispanic/Latinx population. Her teaching interests include research methods, medical sociology, social communities, and global inequalities.
