Rachid (he/him/his) was born and raised in Marrakech and now calls Florida home. He is a first-generation college graduate and the first in his family to seek a doctoral degree. He enjoys outdoor adventures and long-distance road trips. He is always excited about the next GeoBus adventure and proud to be the first GeoBus driver. He has a Bachelor’s in Physics and minors in Chemistry and Mathematics. As a teaching assistant in the department of physics, he enjoys sharing his passion for physics and mathematics with undergraduate students. Rachid was a very curious boy growing up, and his inner child motivates him to teach children fun ways to learn and apply science in their everyday life. Rachid is very grateful for the opportunity afforded by GeoBus to help him continue his commitment to nurture, mentor and encourage future generation of scientists.
