Dr. Olga Jarrett

Projects:

Olga S. Jarrett, PhD is Professor Emerita in science education at the Department of Early Childhood and Elementary Education, Georgia State University. In addition to science education with undergraduates, she taught child development and science/social studies methods in the Urban Accelerated Certification and Master’s program and courses in play and child development in the Ph.D. program.  Her evaluation work has included the following NSF REU grants: Atlanta Consortium for Research in the Earth Sciences (ACRES), 1999-2004; Community Soil Air Water (CSAW); and Citizen Science GIS in Belize, 2016-2019 and 2020-2023. Research interests include science education, social justice, play and recess, and project evaluation.
