Drone Pilot and Citizen Scientist

Isani Audrick Palacio is from Hopkins Village in Stann Creek District, Belize. For the past 4 years he’s been apart of Citizen Science GIS as a Drone Field Assistant. In Hopkins, he has been a lead citizen scientist contributing to mapping areas, completing basic calibration before flights, packaging of the drone’s parts, piloting the drone, and takeoff and catching of the drones. He also was a lead youth coordinator for our Youth Maps, Apps, and Drones Academy in Hopkins Village from 2016-2019.
