GeoBus is a 40-foot city bus converted into a mobile science lab powered by the sun that visits local schools, community events and works with industry and teachers to support the next generation of science. Work study assistants will join our interdisciplinary team and learn how to use National Geographic resources and ArcGIS Online and Google Earth in support of K-12 education and research activities. Student assistants will also work with the project team to train teachers and informal educators in the use of our learning tools to support their classrooms.
The work supports our grant K-12 outreach and broader impacts of the Citizen Science GIS and GeoBus team at UCF. You can learn more about the team at: www.citizensciencegis.org.
