Maps, Apps, and Drones Tour at Indian Trails Middle School

INDIAN TRAIL MIDDLE SCHOOL GUEST STEM PRESENTATIONS(SANFORD, FL) – Seminole County Public Schools (SCPS) is excited to host a STEM Presentation provided by Sara McNulty, the public affairs officer at NASA, and Mike Welch, NASA Engineer on original Apollo along with Citizen Science GIS and GeoBus from the University of Central Florida (UCF) on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at 9:20 am. The presentations will take place at Indian Trail Middle School for 6^th, 7^th and 8^th grade classes.SCPS prides itself in providing students across the district a STEM based curriculum and opportunities to discover new areas of study. Indian Trails Middle School has partnered with Sara McNulty to speak to the 8^th grade students about different STEM related career paths that the Kennedy Space Center provides for students to pursue.  Mike Welch, who was an engineer on the original Apollo will also speak to the 8^th grade students.In addition, the Citizen Science GIS, powered by UCF, will bring the contents of it’s GeoBus which is still under construction to host interactive stations for select 7^th grade classes.
